Mindy Grossman, CEO, HSN to Speak at CEW Event

Beauty exec to focus on her career path in the industry

On Tuesday, March 16, the 2010 CEW Women in Beauty Series kicks off at the Harmonie Club in New York City, as Mindy Grossman, CEO, HSN, Inc. sits down with Jenny B. Fine, editor-in-chief, WWD BeautyBiz. The discussion, “Beauty Retail Redefined” will begin at 6:30pm; a pre-event cocktail reception will be held at 5:30pm.

Grossman, named one of the world’s 100 most powerful women by Forbes magazine, will talk with Fine about her career path and how she has reinvented herself and her company with regard to branding, business opportunities and the beauty industry. A 32-year veteran of the retail and apparel industries, Grossman, as CEO of HSN, oversees a $2.8 billion dollar retail portfolio which includes: HSN, a leading interactive lifestyle network and retail destination that offers a curated assortment of exclusive products combined with top brand names; HSN.com, a top 10 trafficked e-commerce site that offers a differentiated e-commerce experience by leveraging content, community and commerce; and Cornerstone Brands, a dynamic, multi-channel retailer of lifestyle brands including Ballard Designs, Frontgate, Garnet Hill, Grandin Road, Improvements, Smith+Noble, Territory Ahead and Travelsmith.

Prior to taking the company public, Grossman had been CEO of IAC Retailing since May 2006.
